Global Soft Power Index 2024 : Morocco among world's top 50 soft powers - Report
Morocco has improved its standing in the “Global Soft Power Index-2024”, ranking as the 50th most influential country in the world.
The Kingdom moved up five places compared with 2023 in this international ranking, published by the British firm “Brand Finance” and covering the 193 United Nations member states.
Once again this year, Morocco maintains its position at the top of the list of Maghreb countries and is on the podium of the most influential countries in Africa.
In its breakdown of Morocco’s data, Brand Finance highlights the “remarkable” evolution of its “sustainable future” index, which jumped ten places.
According to the British firm, Morocco’s performance was also boosted by its results in the “media and communications” and “science and education” categories, which rose by eight and four places, respectively.
Brand Finance evaluates soft power using several performance indicators, including business and trade, governance, international relations, cultural heritage, media and communication, education and science, and people and values.
Internationally, the United States retained the top spot, ahead of the UK and China. Japan and Germany complete the global Top 5.
